Claire's work as an audio engineer is on display in Thompson Street Opera Company's online film premiere of Ghost Variations, staged by Derek Van Barham, with videography by Aaron Gottl.

​DEC 15  2020        So Long (premiere), Thompson Street Opera Company



Claire will be featured in the World Premiere of Yshani Perinpanayagam's So Long, a monodrama written for voice and string trio, designed to be rehearsed and recorded in isolation. Claire plays an unnamed protagonist who has recently escaped an abusive relationship, and is catching up with a friend on a Zoom call. The work was presented in a virtual premiere and is now available on YouTube.

 

So Long was performed as part of Thompson Street Opera Company's Fall 2020 Commissioning Project, which commissioned works designed for remote performance from three composers of color.

​DEC 14 2019                Winner, Chicago Opera-On-Tap annual "Div@-Off"



Claire is thrilled to be named the winner of the annual Opera-on-Tap "Div@-Off", an over-the-top competition of singing, acting, and nonsense! In Round One, Claire performed "To This We've Come" from Menotti's disturbing The Consul in the guise of Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio. In the Finals, Claire performed a double-drag act to Rossini's iconic aria, "Una voce poco fa," in which they depicted a hit-man going undercover as a sexy lady in order to snare his target.
